I have a 1968 Canadian Quarter that was tested on an XRF machine and it is 80% silver. From my understanding 1967 and 1968 were transition years. In 1967 the Canadian mint went from 80% silver to 50% silver and in 1968 they went from 50% silver to nickel. Is a 1968 quarter that tests at 80% an error coin? Or a planchet from 1967 that got stamped in 1968?
