Hello, Being on the penny hunt once again I came across this well worn and seen better days coin. Examination under the scope shows some sort of doubling but only in the date. No other signs of this anywhere on the coin. Wondering what the experts think about that. Thank you.__

That is what I was thinking as well. Didn't realize Machine Doubling could only effect one device. I thought when a coin has Machine Doubling that most devices on that coin would have it as well. Thank you for the knowledge.

Agree - classic case of Machine Doubling - even the mint mark is affected.
