I do think a satchel might be easier for me to access without having to take it off like a backpack. Also, a careful thief in a crowded area may be able to get into it without me ever knowing.

Here's a map to show where you might park. I put some red lines to show the travel path I take to get there. The street that connects Ft. Duquesne Blvd. with Liberty Avenue runs through the building. There is a parking garage for the venue just to the left as you exit the building. I've never found it available (always full it seems). If you can't get in that garage, look along the street and side streets for parking and lots as you make your way to the Smithfield-Liberty Ave. garage. If you can't get in there, there's another down the street.

There are great eateries all over, so you don't have to eat the offerings at the venue if you prefer more timely service and a richer menu.

Pittsburgh can be challenging to navigate, and sometimes GPS can get flaky so here are some visual captures of the route.

The entrance to 10th St through the Convention Center from Ft. Duquesne Blvd.

The "tunnel"

the exit of the "tunnel". Sometimes there is parking available to the left and right at the tunnel exit

as you go up 10th toward Liberty Avenue, you might see parking to the left and right at the crossroads.

the view at the turn to Liberty Avenue - don't take the path shown by the red "NOT" arrow. Follow the path indicated by the black/yellow line/arrow

Keep going on Liberty Avenue past it until you see the garage entrance.

thanks for the positive feedback.

A suggestion - maybe you could set this chat up for notifications and just have people post here, or on a separate topic, live from the event? If that is impractical, maybe a zoom or MS teams chat?

I've been to that Convention Center a few times for pinball shows (RIP ReplayFX ) Getting there from the Cleveland area wasn't too bad, GPS didn't lead me astray. It's a real nice facility except they issued paper straws with the beverages! Hope they no longer do that.

I'm putting together my want lists along with the maximums I'm willing to pay for next week and was wondering if the dealers at this show charge sales tax?
My local show in NYS does not, although I assume they keep a record til the end and then figure how much they owe the government.
