Quote: Well, something just happened to push silver up into the ~$68 zone all of a sudden... The Market's are all Red yet Silver and Gold is on a rampage. It's finally happening, people are selling equities, getting out of the Dollar and back into Silver and Gold. Quote: ... and rising!
Are we going to hit $70 some time today? Or will the smackdown come any second now?
Let's break it down. I mentioned in prior postings that $69-$70 level was a 'secondary' target once we went back and retested $65, which we did. Check. I mentioned that the caviat would be that $65 had to hold and stay above it, which it did. Check. I also said the $70 retest was a possibility "if" Silver could catch a break, which it also just did. Check. Coincidentally the 200 day moving average for Silver is within reach now, sitting just below $72. Silver has already gotten above the 50 day, the 20 day, and the 8 day MA and appears to be on a rampage with a vengeance. We've already had a 4% move today, and a 4% move yesterday that's above average. But all we need is one more 3-4% day. I think we're going to see $71 by tomorrow and the 200 day is going to act like a magnet helping to pull it there.

Quote: 11:35 AM EDT, 08/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- All three major US stock indexes were down in late-morning trading Thursday, as yields on Treasury bonds reversed course from their Wednesday drop following the Treasury's debt buyback announcement. Well there it is, it didn't work. I feel like this is going to escalate quickly. A Battle Royale. Bonds vs The Feds vs Equities vs Dollar vs Metals Smackdowns inbound.

Oh man what a morning. I wish I could share screen the action. Dollar and Metals are duking it out "Mano a Mano" as they say. It's getting good I've been glued to my screen all morning because of course I have a few thousand bucks riding on it but here's what happened so far. Silver touched $70 twice this morning 5am and 7am both times Dollar was on the floor snoring with little birdies circling it's head like in the cartoons. Then Dollar stood up, started walking around Wondering what hit him. Silver pulled back to $69 Dollar walked around until around 10:30, but it's hobbled pretty badly so it couldn't go any further and been going back down since 10:30 Right now looks like Dollar is going down for the count again. Silver is creeping up slowly around $69.70 as I write this. Gold pushing $4622 climbing slow and steady making new High of Day. Just a few hours left before the bell let's see if it makes it back to $70. Silver is already Up 2% for the day so it just needs a little push.

I enjoy your play-by-play more than watching the charts.

It's been a fun week watching Silver and Gold react to all the economic drama. Yesterday was the first day in a long time that we've seen Silver and Gold both going Up, while stock's and the Dollar were all going Down. This means that for the first time since the beginning of the year stocks were getting sold, the Dollar was getting dumped, and the money was going back into Gold and Silver. The Reality is that world Central Banks are dumping Dollars and buying Gold again at record levels. China is working on a monetary system that steers away from the global Dollar economy. The US surpassed 40 Trillion in debt for the first time, and no end in sight to the spending and borrowing. Bond Market's are on the verge of imploding. Even if it's just for now, Silver and Gold are being looked at as Safe Havens again. What a crazy year it's been so far.

I got a $70 print twice (meaning trades were made at that price) but it could couldn't go any further above $70 and hold.. The Dollar just keeps trying and trying and Silver keeps falling back each time. So close, I don't know if it's gonna happen today.
