I can't immediately see anything that could be clashed into that outline. I thought maybe the nostril would fit, but it doesn't seem like a good match. Your theory about hubbed in debris seems like a good one. I don't know what could damage the die surface in a meandering squiggle like that.

I loke it but why couldn't this simply be die damage?
