Is Littleton Cello Protective Or Otherwise Worthwhile?

Is there any reason to keep the packaging intact? i.e. would it protect the coin better than a traditional cardboard flip, or does the Uncirculated.60 designation add any value? Personally I would put it in a 2x2, or however you are going to store it, so you can label it with the error info.
