2000 P South Carolina Error?

To CCF! Could be just Post Mint Damage ( PMD) and Pareidolia. It looks normal to me.

I definitely agree with you that there is damage on the coin. The three marks on the reverse of the coin that I mentioned are raised and rounded. I also see what you mean about Pareidolia. It kind of looks like a face if you include the small knick mark under the two raised bumps. The three marks I am questioning are in the same location as Washington's ear. The long raised line, lines up exactly with his inner ear and the 2 raise bumps below the raised line, lines up exactly with the outer edges of the his ear lobe. I measured the marks with my calipers from 4 directions on the reverse and then measured the same measurements on the obverse. Once I did that I had AI superipose a reverse image onto an image of the obverse. The marks lined up with the ear.

If the bird had his beak open and one of those dents were in his mouth, then we can talk, but for now, it's a spender...
