to CCF.

Well, with all the damage(at least it looks like damage) I see, I'll just say it is worth face value.

better in-focus images may tell a different story.

To CCF! The pictures aren't great, but I am just seeing staining and damage ( PMD) so far. Value is 10 cents.

Now with the better pictures, I am thinking it was exposed to acid. https://www.error-ref.com/acid-shrunk-coins/

Just a damaged dime. Not an error. It was either buried in the ground or it was exposed to acid. I'm sorry, but this one is just a spender.

There is an almost complete circle on his neck with a # inside. The TY in liberty is off and you can't see but the edge looks like it's coming apart

If it was just damaged then you wouldn't be able to see the P would be damaged too but it is perfectly clear also you can't tell but the the rim is smashed on one side gone on the other I'm going to send another picture so you can see the reverse side the torch in the middle is distorted everything around it looks fine hope the pictures are better.

I've found coins like this metal detecting in areas that are fertilized or just really acidic soil.

It does not matter what caused the damage.
The only thing that matters is that it could not have happened
when the coin was struck so it is PMD.
