Well this one seemed straight forward enough ! Obv (Sleepy eyed) Bust of Herakles in Lionskin right Rv ΛEYKAΔIΩN / ΔAMYΛOΣ above and below Club to left All within oak wreath 3.93 grams 19mm A beautiful green patina I might add !
Seems straight forward enough ... More than enough 'clues' Yet I can't find anything remotely similar !
The description attached the following rarity from Leukas, Akarnania states that the (linked) coin's issuer - the magistrate Nikoboulos - was one of five magistrates, a group that included one named Damylos.
Thank you both so very much ! I purchased a group of 44 'Greeks' that seemed to have bare attributions . I figured it would be fun doing the leg work and researching them 'online' By the age of the collector tickets I could tell someone had spent long hard hours half a century ago giving at the very least the place names ! Now to put modern technology (and my fractured cerebellum) to good use ! Greek attributions have never been my favorite 'Labor'
Unfortunately it appears nearly half this group lot is made up of things I find nearly impossible to find reference for ! Fun . But frustrating too
