Whole lotta nothing going on today. Which, I suppose, is better than a precipitous drop off a cliff.

Quote: Interest rates rise, gold price rises? Trust broken. Silver too? I have 2 theories, I've heard other's that also make sense. I'd love to share but I'm tired of explaining. I watched how the market reacted yesterday, I saw what it did overnight, and I saw what it did today. That wasn't nothing, it was the set-up.

Quote: Just lulling us into a sense of false security ! This is one of my 2 possible scenarios. In which case we'll see a peak now, it could be today's high, or Monday's. On the chart it will look like a lower peak than the previous peak where we hit $70.

Hanging around the ~$66 zone all day today. Not a bad place to be.

Quote: Hanging around the ~$66 zone all day today. Not a bad place to be. Kinda feels like that's where Silver wants to be when I think about it. Let's recap. Silver first went up through the $60's in early December 2025 Silver crashed back down into the $60's in February and bounced. Silver crashed again into the $60's in March and bounced again. Silver drifted back down into the the $60's in June. Silver then Fell asleep between $59 and $55 in July, (it must have been tired from all the bouncing). Silver Woke up from the nap and came back into the $60's in August. Silver has been in the $60's ever since. Maybe it's nothing but it's starting to sound like a theme.

Silver living in the (upper) 60s is not bad.

Not much of anything happening with silver and gold today. Down a wee bit, but nothing dramatic.
So far...

A lot of things in the markets don't make sense right now. They just don't add up. So I'm going to sit on my hands for now and wait.

Silver hit an overnight low of $65.04 before it pushed back up. Going back to what I/We were commenting on late last week about "the set-up" and the "lulling". And about either Friday or Monday being the peak for the short term at least. We can now confirm that the peak was Friday. But they will keep trying to prop things "Up" for as long as they can. Interest rates are rising, we just had our first rate hike in 3 years with 2 more planned. Inflation is rising. And more importantly for metals the The Dollar is rising, In the face of everything I've mentioned there is no reason for stock's or even metals to be rallying. Okay, one of my theories is that the rate hike was already baked in. Could be a reason why stocks and metals went up after the rate hike. I mentioned this when we got the Hot PPI numbers and Silver fell hard. I made a comment that Silver probably doesn't have too much further to fall because now the market knows they'll raise rates. But what about the Dollar? Nobody is paying attention to the Dollar. The Dollar is back Up to where it was in June, and creeping higher, ever since they announced the rate hikes. So for this to make sense then Silver should be in the low $60's and Gold around $4250
