Nice pick-up on the Rainbow $10 WheatBack.
Cool $1 Printed Fold Error hokiefan_82. Why do you think the Treasury seal is dark in the front print but becomes lighter in the unprinted area?

There must be some slight difference between the surface of the paper in the fold versus the paper that came into contact with the plate on the 2nd printing. @mikev50, the "control" notes were the ones with the regular paper composition. Just normal notes to use to compare with the test paper compositions/finishes. Some collectors don't consider the control notes anything special, as they're the same as all the other issued notes, and only distinguished by the serial number ranges.

Here are the last two error notes I'd purchased last week. Both are errors in the 3rd printing, with the first being an overprint on back error and the other being a misaligned overprint.
