Not sure if this counts, but I went through my hoard of searched 1957D wheat cents and culled out 113 that were in poor condition and put them back into circulation.

FsdWarp10, I'm thinking that it might count. We'll see what the moderators say.

Spends count, deposits do not. I put the 113 wheat cents and other coins into a Coinstar machine and got a texas road house gift certificate in exchange (no fees).

An interesting note: some have asked "why spend Wheaties?" In last month's Numismatist. There is a profile of a YN (Young Numismatist) who started collecting when he found a Wheat cent on the ground. Twelve years later, he is off to college with an ANA scholarship and a member of his local coin club and a frequent attendee at Coin shows. You never know what interest you may spark.
