While not liking it, but understanding the more than inflated pricing for the SemiQ products, does anyone think the 2027 products will come down in price? If not I think I will severely scale back my purchases.

If the spot prices of precious metals retreat significantly and stabilize at lower levels, the Mint may reduce prices for some of its products, but the market, IMO, would have to change noticeably in order for prices to be reduced.

I am hoping prices will come down for the annual mint sets (uncirculated, clad proof, silver proof) and the Innovation dollars reverse proof set. I am also not holding my breath they will.

I don't expect any change in price outside of the precious metal adjustments. I think you will see the premiums remain the same. Even if it is a down year for sales I think we go through 27 before they consider price adjustment.

I think the Mint has permanently raised their pricing on the annual sets. Like jbuck, I hope 2027 sees a downward adjustment. . .

They are going to keep the prices high to gouge the Lincoln Cent collectors. You would think at that price they could at least use bronze blanks for the cents.

I sure hope so, but not counting on it.

We all watched the mint jack the prices up very quickly when silver went from around $50/ounce to $120. Now silver is back to under $60. No doubt the folks at the mint are watching sales numbers as they wonder how the pubic responds to prices driven $120 silver. I'm not buying any new Morgans etc at the prices driven by $120 silver.

I'm out for 2027. Canceled all my subs except the Innovation RP.

I haven't canceled anything 'yet' but I'm keeping an eye out to see what the mint does

I will wait until we get more information. I will keep the innovation dollar RP set, of course. I might keep the annual mint sets if the prices come down, or I might just get one of the three to keep a date set current.

Their costs won't be reduced to any significant level and they are legally obligated to recover them, producing collector coins at $0 cost to the taxpayer.
I think they put too much of the burden of the fixed costs on collectors, but that's not going to change in their accounting.
So I don't expect a reduction in costs. In fact I expect another significant increase as the volumes in 2027 drop off, leaving 2028 to recover still higher costs over fewer sales.
