I have a 2012 tecumseh quarter coloured and it's in like perfect condition but it does not say 1812 in the red maple leaf, I don't believe it has been worn off, is this an error ? What could something like that be worth?

"1812" is not engraved. It is formed by thin gaps in the red colour stamp.
Even a light smudge would destroy the image.
Your coin has a lot of red colour outside of the maple leaf. It looks like someone just touched the coin with aceton or another solvent.
It is not an error coin.

I sent a better close up to AI and it scanned it and says it's an ink bleed pad slpe error, the machine that stamps the red had too much ink and the red outside if from that

If an "error" can be mimicked with a substance (solvent) it is by necessity not valuable.

Another example might be those who tone coins by using heat or chemicals, then try to sell them at a premium.

Fair point on fakes in general but solvent removes ink... it doesn't deposit pink over spray outside the design , if this was solvent where did the extra pink outside of the leaf come from?
