This was a nice surprise I found in a lot of relatively common errors. Not that these are all that rare, but usually not found mixed in with lower value coins. It was unlabeled so maybe the collector just didn't know what it was.

You got it. It's a good one.

Tropicalbats, do you plan on sending this in to be slabbed?

Love it & congrats on a nice surprise.

The color on these always look off to me for being a copper planchet.
They always seem to have that nickle shade to them instead of the red, r/b, or brown desigation.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

I have always assumed that the nickel dies have lots of nickel residue on them and when they strike a copper planchet there is still nickel transferred giving it that color.

I am debating about slabbing, but likely will do so yes. I have a fair number of quite nice error coins and probably should make a pile of them to send off. I just hate how much money the TPG takes when at the end of the day it's still the same coin. I get that it is necessary for registry stuff as the grade is all important, but for error coins it's just how nice it looks and the grade shouldn't matter much.
