@coinfrog yes lol, a buffalo star note that somehow got mixed in a little group of US bills in Canada. it's at my LCS and likely being sent off to certification. i'll try getting some pics or scans if they let me next time I'm there.

Buffalo stars are notes that most collectors would not even imagine owning. They are worth 4 figures and up in any grade. Do keep us informed!

Coinfrog, the current goal/scope of my $1 FRN collection is 1 CU example of each series, BEP location (where applicable) and a star of each of those. At some point I may decide to go for a graded set of the above, but I must balance this potential with my other collections however, as well as other monetary commitments in my life.  For instance, I'm also collecting similarly for Silver Certs and USNs for $1 notes as well as FRN, USN, and Silver Certs for other denominations too. So many things to collect, so little money! My latest is from our southernmost city, Key West. These don't show up too often, and when they do, I'm usually the under bidder. Finally snagged one from the Heritage Long Beach auction. I'm not buying many raw notes these days, mainly because I have too many that need grading and it's going to cost me a ton. But I couldn't pass up this nice $10 gold star - nice AU with two faint bends (not folds) and bright color.  Edited by Coinfrog
