Another VA note. This one is rather hard to find.

Lots of great notes in this thread! I just found this one in the wild, it is my first repeater find ever and in OK shape. Nothing crazy but was a lucky find.

@SteveinTampa - yes, eventually I will be looking to get the web-fed notes. I have the 1995, but not the 1988A or 1993, the harder ones of the three to come by. Out of curiosity are there web-fed stars?

Yes sir, there is one.
1988A Atlanta (F*), and it's pricey.

Here's one that has seen some hard times:

I got a good deal on this one and about 12 more uncut 4-note sheets in $1, $2, and $5... But I liked that this one was Boston star notes from 1976!

Picked up a bunch of early-generation CGA notes this weekend, including this nice S/W 1923 USN issue. Bright with lots of pop - so much more appealing than its SC cousin.

These two are of course valued much differently - there were (only?) 82 Million of the red-seal USNs issued for S/W, compared to 2.4 BILLION of the blue-seal Silver Certificates!

@xxJOExx - is that your 88A web fed star?

Looks like one sold on Heritage earlier this year for $235. Is that about what I can expect?

hi everyone, I have not posted in this thread before, but I think I have a decent find here. Got it from a bank, and looking for any input.

I have no knowledge of paper money. It seems to be in darn good condition, and its a star note, and a somewhat low #, maybe not that low, I dunno.

@skibdib - It looks pretty good condition-wise but get it in a holder immediately before it picks up any more wear. Corners are dinged slightly and there appears to be a center crease that's been mostly coaxed out but not quite. Other than that (even in spite of that), I like it!

This note is of a run of 128k, which is low. However, the serial number itself isn't low -- "low" is considered to be in the 2- or 3-digit serials (A00000012A, A00000123A, etc). Great find! We don't see many $50 stars here in this thread and you have a nice one there.

I'll let the experts give you an idea of value, but you can search sold listings on ebay or Heritage for an idea.

cool, thanks for the information CelticKnot! I guess I could at least put it in a book to keep it straight, but I'm worried I would lose it haha.

Might this be worth getting graded?

Definitely not worth getting graded. It is still cheap in TPG CU.
