Love the Cashier's name - appears to be "Dinwiddie". Glad I didn't have that name in 6th grade.

Picked this up over the weekend. Hardly a scarce note, but vibrant and full of punch. This was printed during the long Julian/Morgenthau era between 1934-1945. Like most $2s, even back then, they seem to have hardly circulated, which accounts for their most reasonable price today.  Edited by Coinfrog

Very nice LT deuce Mr.frog.
I really love the intaglio vignette of Jefferson's Monticello on the back of this series. Imagine if the engraver had a broader background as found on large size notes....it would be a masterpiece.

Agree. The engraver's art, so vibrant for some 500 years, is all but lost today.

I don't usually buy small size notes as these ratty as these common Hawaii $1's, but for $15 for all 3, they can be turned for an easy profit.  |

This Richmond district seems to be rather scarce. Only 3 in the census. Looks like it could pull an UNC grade as well. Can't say no to it at $20..   |

Wheatback, excellent pickup. Next "rarest" block would be the San Francisco L-B block.  Great deal for $20; would you take $30 LOL Just FYI, seems like from most common to scarcest: GA BB CA BA GB FA HA AA LA DA EA LB
