This is the only other LGS note I bought in the last couple of months. And this note is the only note that fills a gap in my collection. My $5 1934 LGS set is complete. My $10 1934 LGS set is complete. I need a Richmond and a Minneapolis for my $20 1934 LGS set. I need some more $50 1934 LGS notes. I need a Boston, Philadelphia and Cleveland for my $100 1934 LGS set. I need many $500 1934 LGS notes, because that was the last set I've started. And I only need a New York for my $1000 1934 LGS set. Not many notes, ok, but obviously difficult to find.

Picked this up earlier this week. You don't see them around that often, but they trade for very reasonable prices and are a good long-term bet I think. This Dallas example is from a slightly better district, but not really a big thing. Seems to be original paper, photos do not show the hard folds. I would grade it VF-25 or possibly VF-30.

They seem very reasonable (paid about $400 for this one) given how seldom I see them.

Nah. As they say, the bill speaks for itself, and it's a solid problem-free VF. I had no problem without a holder.
I'm always amazed (with coins or PM) at the stuff people spend money on to have graded. Just dumb amazed.

Bought for the curiosity of it. No I didn't spend a lot on it -- Less than a few gallons of gas.

I bought this raw as a VF and was pleasantly surprised at the grade from PMG. Edited to add; I love the solid stars.

Stever - Nice one! I'm a big fan of stars as well, especially FRNs from San Francisco for no particular reason. Like you I bought this raw last year hoping for a CU grade, but missed the mark. Still can't figure out why, but I won't spend the money again to re-grade.

Quote: Just read this. What do you make of it? Most likely a donor note. I like the case it came in more than the note.
