Wheat - Very nice set of obscure Virginia Nationals. Care to guess how the Norfolk note got stained ? Leather wallet? The wear is likely from being someone's wallet piece for a while. The look is consistent with a bill that was carried in a wallet.. (hard creases, waxy-like surface when felt, dark toning) I also reuploaded the images for those that can't see them. I was the first and only bidder on this national banknote from King City's second issuer. The "other" national bank in town is known for a hoard of Series 1882 Brown Back fives. These are the seller's pictures.   |
