I assume "See Comments" refers to EPQ? Most likely. Now, all PMG notes 65 or higher are by definition EPQ (and older ones 65 or higher will be reholdered upon request if not so noted as EPQ). PMG may have also noted "great embossing". Very nice note! Edited by jimbucks

I've always wondered about the "Great Embossing" comment. You're suggesting this also implies EPQ?

Think I've got it - so there shouldn't be any PMG 65 "See Comments" notes that simply have "Great Embossing" on the back.

I would think "Great Embossing" = EPQ unless there are other comments like "minor tear, stain" or such detriments. Great embossing implies the note hasn't been pressed and therefore should be EPQ. I have a PMG UNC 63 with no EPQ next to the grade but "Exceptional Paper Quality" on the back of the holder with "Great Embossing & Color" on the reverse (indicating it was graded before EPQ was added next to the grade). |
