This banknote was my gateway to the wonderful hobby of numismatics, which will hopefully carry on for many generations.   The note isn't special in any way shape or form other than it was my first.

Congrats WheatBack  Your bills are cool. Today was a paper money show in my hometown. I bought this bills. From the 1914 $20 bill I have 18 variants now.

That is a really neat 1896 Silver Certificate. I am not much of a bill collector, which is probably why I have never see one of those. Maybe I will dig some of mine out! Thanks for sharing!

Bought this Series 1886 $1 Silver Certificate rag. For what reason? I'm not sure, but the rougher notes are sometimes cooler.
