I was bidding last week on the Long Beach Expo through Heritage. Picked up the following notes. There were so many lots that I needed maybe I got carried away. The packs I got for far less than estimates. I'm very happy with the star notes, They catch my attention more than anything.

Great bunch of notes - thanks!

Especially love the 1950 $100 star - very impressive!

Woodford -

Here is my only $100 star, which I picked up not long ago. It's in a CGA holder, with nice paper wave and strong embossing, but I would grade it 64 based on reverse centering.

Coinfrog,

Thanks! I am attempting to complete a set of plain 1950 NY FRN star notes. So far I am missing the $50.
The $100 star you got there is beautiful. It is along the same type of notes I collect and look for. I have a DGS star example with a serial number closeby to the one you possess in AU condition.

This is a recent purchase. I couldn't pass up the LGS star and low serial number at the same time. I look for Chicago and NY FRN stars. Is that something you do also?

Wow and thanks. That '34 $100 LGS star is one tough note - believe me, I know.

Woodford - PS - No, I just collect all stars that I like when the price is right, and sometimes even when it's wrong.

Tell us how you would grade this note - just great, with an 002 serial number.

No idea of its scarcity, but I'll bet we hear back on this shortly.
