So what is that "Bell" diagram supposed to represent? It looks like a sledgehammer and an old remodeled biplane.
I'm guessing something related to hydrofoils and his tetrahedral wings for aircraft? He did more than the telephone.

Edit: Yup, top view of the Silver Dart. "Their final aircraft design, the Silver Dart, embodied all of the advancements found in the earlier machines. On February 23, 1909, Bell was present as the Silver Dart flown by J. A. D. McCurdy from the frozen ice of Bras d'Or made the first aircraft flight in Canada", hence the Canadian connection.

Why on earth would the RCM make a coin to celebrate the 114th anniversary of the flight? He was Scottish and all his experiments were done outside Boston, where he lived, for US patents. He did, however, move with his family to Brantford when he was a teen, so maybe Canada adopted him..

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexa..._Graham_Bell
His first home in North America was in Canada, he did a lot of work on the telephone concept in Brantford, and the way I read the above, the first real telephone calls occurred in Canada between the Bell homestead and various locations around Brantford.

I wish I didn't leave Canada right when these Toonies came out. I left a few days before release. I would love to find some of these. I'm hoping to get a roll though.

Also, my first time posting in nearly a decade. Has it really been that long?

Haha, anyways great find!

Thanks Dirtdetectorll, and welcome back.

mcshilling, I reside on the west coast and have since found a third black toonie. I've been searching about ten rolls a week for more, two of the three came from store change. Local coin shops here don't have any rolls.
I wanted to buy a roll but pretty expensive, if I can find a few more hunting I'll be happy.

Was given these by the wife from her "collection" she just kept coins for nostalgia. Boy was I surprised when I saw these.

That's a great gift. The Coronation medal is the lowest mintage of the group, I just played one on 20 Questions, and was surprised to see another one so soon.

How about this one for a roll find, Some one got into dad's collection,
this is from a Canadian Baby Gift Set from 2017 and it does have great luster I just couldn't capture it.
None on ebay and none at CA but I think it's about a $15 coin.
