My finds from today are not as impressive as the finds others have been posting recently but this was my best score by far this month. At Walmart, there was a guy probably a year or two older than me dumping his change, so I waited for him to finish and as soon as he left, I went to the machine. He left some pennies on the counter that were a combination of corroded zincolns and a few wheat pennies, and there was more in the reject bin. I scooped it up and walked over to the adjacent grocery store that also has a Coinstar machine, and wouldn't you know it, THAT reject bin was also loaded! I mixed my finds together so I have no way of knowing what came from each individual machine, but this was the final take: Wheaties: 1927, 1940 x2, 1941 x2 (all P mint) -28 cents in ordinary change (all of it was in pennies except for one modern dime) -2 cent euro -2015 penny from the Bahamas -Two 5 pence coins, 2 pennies from the UK (one is from 1971 and says "New Penny" instead of "One penny") -1.50 in Mexican pesos (50 cents and a $1 coin) -7 rupees from India -Unidentifiable foreign coin (size of a US nickel, looks to be from an Asian country, has a man with glasses on obverse, all text besides the number 1 on reverse is in foreign characters) I think I set a record today for most foreign countries represented in one shopping trip! |

Took $250 in halves the other day to a coin machine at my bank. When I checked the reject bin I found $8.78 in change.
A lot of people are not aware of the reject tray.

In this plastic society, I honestly believe that people don't know what to do with coins, they are even more clueless when those coins hit the reject cup.

I went to cash in some JFK's and found these in the machine. The most coins I have found at one time   Edited by TJLang
