The other day, a couple of Barber friends decided
to set up a table at a Ft Myers coin club show.
This was their first venture as dealers - and I went
to support them. I ended up getting three MS
V nickels { 1905, 06 and 08 } All in PCGS 63-64. Well struck - white
silver screaming luster - who could ask for more ?
Another friend had a few
Barber quarters I was looking for
- for yet another friend's teenage sons. I picked up a 1898
in PC 45 - an 1900-O in PC 53 - and a 1902-S in PC 45.
Well, as it turns out, the kids had a 1898 - so - I'll now
have a quadruplicate !!

I liked the 1900-O in 53 much much more than the one in
my set, I decided to keep it for myself - and the other one
I have is too white for my friend's tastes.
Lastly, of the three I had intended on buying the kids, this
is the only one they are actually getting...

Well.... I hardly ever look at raw coins any more.
My friend had a 2x2 Plastic #-Ring-Binder-Page which
held a coin I have been looking for - at least four years
since I restarted my Barbers for the umpteenth time.
No images - yet - But - its a 1907-S Quarter Raw in
AU58/MS64 - which will go to PCGS when I have a bunch
put together in one type of submission. I have never
found an AU - 1907-S Quarter. My old sets only had MS
coins. Keeping my fingers crossed.
