Whether it's up or down Fridays seem to be the big move days. Why is this?

LOL, thanks Silverhawk! Nice to joke around.

I hear you. As soon as I buy a coin on sale, it's much cheaper after the sale ends, as the spot price drops!

It seems as spot drops premiums are going up so I just buy for the most part items I really want. Example is the 5 oz fort mcHenry coin. Not too much premium for what it is.

I do the same thing Angel and the 5 oz. ATB are great pieces and when you get them early as possible the cheaper they will be as they increase pretty fast as the years start to go by and the numbers of different coins in the series grow....

I still tend to use same strategy but with gold US comm coins as they yield ebay bucks and can still be found right around 325 shipped which is not bad IMO for a near quarter oz. of gold.....

@Shoot

Friday isn't a big day for gold. The only thing that we had data wise was the NFP number.

But even with the gap up today, it doesn't really mean much today. Gold is below the 4/15 gap, along with silver.

M-F doesn't mean a single thing to any asset. What is key and matters is price action, that should be the MAIN consideration to any person who either does this for a living or is even casually interested in financial markets and or assets.

I was referring to silver yup. Today it's way up from yesterday. Last Friday it went down like the Titanic and two Friday's before that is when it made it's big jump out of the teens. Seems any other weekday it just meanders around where it started the day.

And of course it was a Friday when the big plunge earlier this year happened.

I know a lot of people dump stocks before the weekend but sure seems like most Fridays have relatively big swings in silver price, at least for the few months I've been watching it.

It no doubt has been strong on many of the last say 8 Fridays or so.....

Like I always say it plays possum most of the week and then jumps up late going into weekend....

I was thinking we were headed back down and still may be as today's spike is not much yet, will see what happens post lunchtime. Until it firmly passes 24 I am still in that mindset. If we see one penny under 23 per oz., I think it is headed back down for Christmas....

@Shoot

Yes I understand what you are saying, in regards to both.

However, careful examination of PRICE tells us all we need to know going into next week. Both silver and gold are below the 4/15 gaps. Tho they jumped today, there was not enough interest in going into the gap and especially with the weekend.

It is true that some weekends traders dont want to go long, but it all varies and each move must be viewed in its context.

That said, and going back to silver and gold, next week should be very interesting. I want to see if it goes into that gap or continues to turn away. That's going to give us some big clues going forward.

No problem Allspice, just me being me. It's hard sometimes to get what you want across in these forums, or even text messages. I've been guilty of saying things I thought were very innocent and then found out I accidently offended some one.

No worries.

Im thinking its still headed down too. The chart from the last two years seems to be repeating itself of big drop, back up, kick around and back down. That could change but it seems to still be mimicking that and it really doesn't want to seem to do anything but kick around right now

Honestly I hope if doesn't jump in price for a while because I just got into collecting silver and want as much as I can get for the cheapest I can get it lol. I've been hoarding silver now for about 2 months and am up to 26oz of silver but I still want more.
