My dear chap-
I NEVER contradict the market,, rather I go along with what it tells me to do. It is telling me that silver and gold are in a powerful downtrend and the longer they stay down, the more the run is over.

Not at all. Ignoring that silvers been working its way down for two years now and saying spot price no longer matters with a worldwide conspiracy in play would actually be the contradictory position.

Well if you recognize a few key words I like to use once in a while, it probably means you're also an avid reader of those website, right? Who cares what I read, I only care about the truth and it ain't coming from msnbc or some crystal ball for that matter. When you have all the major respectable investors with proven track records, all saying the same thing, what does that say? No need for tin foil hats to see this is all rigged.

That they were wrong. Everthing is manipulated. This is nothing new. Its just not gold's time yet which is good news. Gold's time is coming though and when it does you will look at today as the good times.

Fearmongering would be bad for silver. Silver is primarily an industrial commodity and probably not of very much use in the US as we shed quite a bit of industry. Silver is secondarily, currency. While it is a precious metal, it is not money. Gold is money. For thousands of years Silver as a currency has been devalued against Gold money. You should buy gold and sell silver. Silver is going nowhere without a stronger global economy. And we seem to be losing ground. Profits usually top before markets, so there is little interest in gold which is when you buy.

Quote: Fearmongering would be bad for silver. No it wouldnt. Fear mongering is whats driving the buying at stupid premiums and causes some people to convert their money into PMs. Fear mongering increases interest and buying which is never bad for it. Quote: I believe silver is money as well. Didn't judas betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silver? Something like that. It was money, now it can be traded for money so it does have value no doubt but money wont be made from it again

So I guess in that respect paper silver is superior? People are buying coins. There is a shortage of coins. Institutions are selling silver. They are two different things.

Quote: So I guess in that respect paper silver is superior? Depends why you buy. If you like coins obviously not. If youre only buying as an investment hoping to make money then yes it is Quote: People are buying coins. There is a shortage of coins. Institutions are selling silver. They are two different things. Theres no real shortage of coins theres listings for them everywhere. There may be some specific shortages but thats basically died down. Theyre definitely different, but coins do increase the demand on silver

But you have to wait for delivery because of the shortage. They will make more, but it takes time. The only thing that puzzles me is why people think silver will perform during deflation.

Stocks and bonds have been rising in terms of silver and gold for about 2 years now. I can't tell you where either are going. But I can tell you with a reasonable degree of certainty that if you sit 100% in a place too long you are going to get zapped hard. Thats the nature of negative real rates, hot money and the resulting dysfunction and ineffiency.
