@Ct

Glad you are enjoying this thread. It was my hope that it would be educational for everyone.

Ehhh, if this move was the real deal, I would have been looking for one day of heavy volume, say 4-5 time the average vol, which I dont see a single day, which is another reason I think this move is suspect.

Interesting to see gold not following with silver also.

I'm thinking the price of silver is going up - because everyone is buying Zombucks... and Elephants.

Either that or this is just another upswing and it will level back out. Either way...I am hoping it doesn't continue up and cause a repricing at the mint yet! I am wanting the last 2 ATB's this year at the $154.95.

@Dougie

dont get me wrong, this could run higher, level by level. I dont think that all of a sudden it drops off.

In fact, I can see a ton of traders even moving to sell short at these gaps, only to get crushed each and everytime. However as I learned and know, I dont sell rallies short. Its better to let them play out and let them run out of steam on their own.

Thats why for me, I wont be a buyer of this rally but I wont be selling it short either.

interesting move here by gold.

Notice our proxy, GLD once again going into the gap... which I had mentioned yesterday in my late night post that one of two scenarios would happen,, one of being gold catching up to silver and wanting to fill that gap.

Looks like they are both on a strong midday run. Silver just keeps jumping everytime I check it. Going to be hard to resist my urge to sell some of my $18 silver into this uptick. Just need to find the right time.

Silver is closing in on $23 up over $0.90. Gold on a run to at $1360. Both just took off from mid morning.

I would say,,, let this run into tomorrow. Then wait for the reaction on Monday.

The reason I say that is that Friday not a lot of new trades will open up then you have the weekend. If Monday rolls around and traders still want to run this up then I think you can squeeze more out of this if you are selling.

Finally I want to commend those booking profits, well done.

Well I had a roll of ssbs queens 20 roll bring 560 early am an a ox flat press hit 321 which I had like 250 in so it ain't much-but definitely bookin some profit....

My ox 20 ended no bids 700 but over 23 now it may draw a 700 bid at 35 per oz....

I hate to sell any but I gotta cover a monthly 1500 bill. Then may get a buffalo but doubt it as its over 1700 now no doubt....

I had been tempted to sell short silver last week... wow, am I sure glad I didn't! There are still too many other interesting places in the market to put money. I was thinking of XIV last week too... another lucky break that I didn't act on my impulse.

todays movement looks to be mostly safe haven buying from poor outlook on consumerism.

Lots of stocks are down, PMs are universally up...

Just inverse movement. There will be a down turn again shortly as people calm down and move money back in to companies and away from PMs.

If it were in the paper market, I would be taking profit today and buying back in next week.

macmercury, It will move to $1740 if we stay above $1350 this week. A run to $1400 will put it at $1790.
