I have a second coin to share today. It is a 1917 Lincoln Cent which was listed on ebay as, "Looks to be a Matte Proof - MUST SEE" with an opening bid of $200. It is a very special coin indeed since no proof Lincoln Cents were struck in 1917. Good thing the seller was insightful enough to spot it as a proof. https://www.ebay.com/itm/304258192528I noticed he has relisted it and has lowered the opening bid to $35.00   Paul Bulgerin

@numisrob, perhaps it could be dissolved completely in acid and the resulting solution sold-you could sell it as a "make your own" coin-some assembly required!

I really hate it when people misrepresent items. I have dealt with the person who sells these rolls of 2009-P nickels in the past. Said person has always been VERY clear as to what they're selling, whether that be original BU rolls, low-grade circulated ones, or coins somewhere in between. Said seller typically undergrades the coins they sell. Perhaps I should ping them to check their records to see when they sold said item to this person. Another goodie tonight, a 1959-D Lincoln Cent "With Catastrophic Die Damage" and an opening bid of $48. I think the die damage at the mint was caused by the interaction between an asphalt parking lot and a car tire. https://www.ebay.com/itm/384611102359  Paul Bulgerin
