@DOCC ... this is the reply from that seller (1858 O Half) ...: "This is genuine I don't sell counterfeits it's been cleaned though as you can tell which is why it may look a little suspicious ..." do you believe that? ...

How about all of the rolls of wheat cents with unusual enders where the signs of tampering are blatantly obvious? And if both enders are non-LWC, how does the seller know that the rest of the coins are LWCs?

Right...plus the rolls are squishy ends. At least tighten them up a bit. And that 1909-S VDB....hmmmm....blurred on purpose maybe.
1858 real, doubtful but cannot be certain with photos. But, rim from 3-6 is suspect and conveniently shaddowed. And dammmmm, look at her lower index finger. To scale that would be a 1 footer on a human.

..THE SAME FAKE "SPANISH 8 REALES COB" FOR SALE BY 2 DIFFERENT SELLERS ON ebay... ebay item number: 266687871083................AND.................. ebay item number: 276347510151....................Screenshots for posterity: ... ..These fakes are identical, pop up frequently on ebay (as genuine) ... they were poured into a mold, not hand-struck...both sellers have been informed in the past, but are re-posting these fakes ... ...because of the nature of their manufacturing, NO TWO COBS ARE EXACTLY ALIKE (referencing their shape & strike characteristics) ...( a quick study of the process will explain why) ... If you see 2 identical cobs, at least one is fake ... (most likely both) ... ...Any members here that would like a quick tutorial on this subject, please email me, I'd be glad to share this info ...

...both of those 8Rs look convincing...you'd have to eyeball in person ... weight may tell...but the details look exact for Mexico, that year... the surfaces look suspect, not much like old silver ... but that could be from old cleaning - re-toning ... hard call on those ...
