For only $1581 + $3.84 shipping, you can own this mint state, full steps 1963 Jefferson nickel*.

*Seller does not accept returns. Seller makes no legally binding claims of authenticity in this Cerificate of Authenticity. Seller is not responsible for distinguishing between business strike and proof nickels. Seller cannot be held accountable for the irony of not offering free shipping on a $1581.00 coin. Caveat emptor. Buyer beware. Take what you can, give nothing back!

Check out the description the seller posted for the nickel (seriously...):

Please see photos for details and description.

The pictures show the exact coin.

There is nothing special about most coins with " no mint MARK."

It is usually just the Philadelphia Mint. The p. Mint marks are only on certain years so idk why everyone listing coins these days always write no mint mark like that is some kind of error. It usually is not a mint error coin.

So the no mint mark trend is just that....a trend. Trendy trusty friend. One who will bend, the truth into lies to rip off you guys for Please just use your common sense.

Have a great day, _(colorful expletive)_

I have to wonder, who has convinced half of the ebay sellers into thinking that Bicentennial Quarters are:

Rare?
Worth $1000 + in circulated condition?
Have missing mint marks?
Have THE 'Filled Mint Mark Error!' ?
Think PMD is 'Strike Errors!' ?

I am always amazed that these common, circulated coins are listed for high MS condition prices. If these prices were accurate I would be more than wealthy, as I have more than 200 of these in my 'wrap for the bank' collection.

I'm not going to post a photo on CCF because these coins will just be relisted and relisted and relisted... *sigh* [smh]

ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

About those Bicentennials... A few years back I got to know an older worker at a coin shop. His specialty was older world coins, but he collected US material as well. We got to talking about Bicentennial quarters and he told me--in a laughing way--that he had a hoard of 150+ rolls of 'fresh' Denver-minted Bicentennials that he acquired when they began arriving at banks back in the day. Never found out if he unloaded them or not.
