There's gold in them thar hills!  In today's change: Gold-plated 2010-D Cent (with a bit of circulation wear!), most likely broken out from one of these sets.( It makes me wonder if the colorized Cent from that set is still floating around in Denver circulation? )

I received a 2005-D Westward Journey Buffalo/Bison Nickel in change today. This is probably the second 2005-D I have ever received in change. It is in really good shape as well, considering the condition of the other nickels I have been getting in change.

Picked up a 1945P wheaty off the floor at McDonalds this morning then got home and checked my change and out of 4 more LMC was a 1975D a 1978D and a 1974S (they hard to come by down here). Was a great day for the copper before breaking open the first roll. |

Found a 1963 silver dime in my change from the Family Dollar store yesterday. I went in to buy some earbuds (headphones). Staples wanted $20 something for theirs, so I walked down a couple of stores to the Family Dollar store and bought a pair for $2. It pays off being a cheapskate sometimes.  |

I was getting some turkey hunting supplies when the checker ran out of change. She grabbed a fresh roll of cents (I had a strange urge to search them) and emptied them into her drawer. The only one I got from the new roll was - a 1956D LWC. A 2% chance of getting the wheat and I beat the odds. Wahoo! Then yesterday I walked out to the mailbox and just happened to notice a nickel on the grass. It was right on the border between my neighbor and me, mostly on my side. It was a 1954 S. Unfortunately there was no D under the S. |

Went through $50 in halves in CWR rolls (half shotgun) and found maybe 25 bicentennials. Nothing worthwhile, tho.

Just went to re-image a computer at an empty desk at work. Opened the desk drawer to find a '72 S mint LMC. Free S mints are free S mints! Also found a USB cable I needed. Double score! |
