This is my star note, at least it's the only one I'm hanging on to. Of course, it wasn't a find, cost me plenty, but probably worth a little more today.
It's funny because I think Jackson looks so much more distinguished on this old large bill than he does on the newer $20s, even though it's actually the same picture!

ron, that is a FINE looking note! It is a very pleasing design to begin with and yours has tons of eye appeal. From the scan it's hard to see why it received a 45. All I can see is perhaps a fold or crease a little right of center (around the "T" in "NOTE" at the top front, "D" in "FEDERAL" on the top back). What is/was the "Vista Collection"?

Hard to grade paper money from scans. But that is one tough note, and I compliment your foresight in purchasing it.

I'm not sure what or who "Vista" was. Maybe, I knew at the time but forgot now. I see some pretty strange collection names at auction and, often, without a thorough explanation but one can see the (good) taste of the prior owner fairly well.
The grade was given for paper waves, right of center, as was pointed out. It was a little too obvious to make an AU grade but I don't think the bill saw much, if any, circulation.

Perhaps evidence of a failed attempt to iron out light folds, which could account for the lack of a PPQ designation. Still a fine example I'd be happy to own.

Most bills don't have a PPQ or EPQ designation. Doesn't mean they're subpar, though, just not exceptional paper. The way the TPG's describe these types of issues, paper waves are a naturally occurring phenomenon.

I agree. I was referring to what looks like a "pinch" that Celtic Knot pointed out.

@Newbie, yeah, with 3.2M of them printed, they're not particularly valuable, as you mentioned. But they do look crisp, so they might be worth something nominal to someone to have a run of 4. Personally I'd keep them.

No harm for sure, but assuming they're AU, upside seems very limited.

That's a tough one. How do you grade it?

I really love the lime colored seal on the 1934 notes. I don't collect them, but I love looking at them lol
And paper waves are very interesting for sure. One would think they are a defect of some kind, but actually are normal in a note in excellent condition.

The $20 looks like it has two different shades of green on the serials.
Newbie234, getting 4 stars notes in a row as change (or 4 of anything in a row) is already noteworthy.
