$4.00 at Walmart for one item, some stain remover. The total was $3.76.

I had to use the self-checkout because that was all that was open.

I inserted eight half dollars and could hear them go into the interior of the machine but nothing else happened. I called for assistance and waited for a while and finally a worker appeared. I tried to explain the situation but I don't think she fully understood. She went to get a supervisor and after another longer wait he finally arrived but could not resolve the situation. He left to get a manager. Finally the manager and supervisor disassembled the entire machine and retrieved the half dollars. The manager then opened a regular register just for me.

The original worker operated the register but then the manager had to show her how to count half dollars.
