What kind of quality are the Morgan and Peace dollars? Are they culls? Are they "average circulated" (VG-F)? Are they VF or higher? If they are in the latter two categories I would say you did very well.

One of the Morgan's is about Fr-2 (this one would probably grade straight), the rest have most of their finer details but are cleaned, scratched, or wizzed=details grade. They were priced at 27x but I asked if he would do 4 for $100, which is what I did. I will try and post a pic in a bit.

Coin show this weekend had dimes and quarters for 18.5x and halves at 19.0x. There were decent quantities available. One dealer had 90% at 23.5x and tried really hard to convince me to buy them, lol.

Buying at 16x, selling at 22x. Apparently someone is going to sell them several hundred ASEs--LCS is paying $23 an ounce. I believe they are selling ASEs at $28.

I reason that around 30% in the buy/sell spread is commercially OK.
For me: I buy, but have never sold. Thus, I only buy World junk silver at well below current ASW melt,. (whatever that may be). US is the Country most commonly represented Result is that my junk silver stash is growing very slowly.

I usually check the spot price of PM's at least once a day. Curious why the prices haven't even fluctuated from Friday 8/18/23 to Wed. 8/23/23? It's like the spot for gold has been frozen at $1909.20 and silver at $22.60 for 5 days now. Wonder if the BRICS has anything to do with it?

Not sure what ticker you are looking at, but the ones I have seen show Ag is up to just shy of $24.00.

Thanks for the PCGS link. I have been using the site from silver recyclers as a quick reference but that site has been frozen for several days. Shame because I like it for being able to find a quick melt for any purity of metals.

Earlier today I bought a roll of halves for 20x at one of the larger online bullion sellers. No idea what they will ship me.
