Germany got so bad with their hyperinflation, they started recycling old Mark notes and just red stamped them with higher values.

Here's a Germany 1 000 000 000 Marks 1923 Banknote overprint on 1000 Mark P-82:

This P-106a 10,000 Lira from Italy was another pick up from Allen's Coins.

The front design features "Portrait of a Man" by Andrea del Castagno, one of many famous painters from the mid 1400's Florence (Botticelli, De Vinci, Michelangello, etc). This painting can now be viewed at the National Art Gallery of Washington, DC. The painting's providence makes for an interesting read on the wiki link below:

2 pieces from Laegerdorf. It is not known why the 2 designs, which are slightly different, were necessary............?

I collect hyper-inflation notes from various countries; Germany, Hungary, Vietnam and Yugoslavia to name a few. My largest collection of these types of notes are from Germany.

The German notes I have are in the 10s of thousands, millions and billions. Germany has minted trillion mark notes which I have yet to acquire.

This thread is for you to show your hyper-inflation notes, I'm very interested in what is out there. I searched the forum for hyper-inflation notes but came up disappointed with the results.
Here is my first posting of hyper-inflation notes. I will post some billion mark notes at a later date.
