TNG- Nice sets. How about some trivia. At the time of release, there were only 2 living people who have made it onto Canadian coinage. Of course, the Queen. But the second one is from your Golden Hawks coin, Fern Villenuve. I believe he is still with us as well. I have the single of this coin with Fern's signature on the COA. I have a friend who served under Fern for years, and he confirmed the signature. Since then, I'm sure that other people have made it onto coins. Cindy Klassen pops to mind right away.

Thanks guys, a book could be written here about the pilots from looking around this morning on Google. Very interesting biographies on those pilots shown in the gold plated medallions on the coins. I should have connected the portraits to the coins and added the names as well. Ever since I was a little kid, aircraft intrigued me. My uncle gave my big brother some models of planes he had put together and painted and they hung from our bedroom ceiling as if they were flying in the bedroom. I would go to sleep pretending they were flying overhead in dogfights and dropping bombs. Other kids went to sleep with vision of suger plums dancing in their heads, not me. hahaha I worked on the flight deck of the carrier Saratoga CV60 in the USN. I have some neat non sport tobacco cards of aircraft. Cards like this. I may make a better thread sometime about coins with aircraft. Last night my OCD had me stay up and go the very back of the safe to take actual images after 2 AM. LOL For now I'll just enjoy what you guys put up here and see what else I can contribute. Have a great day!
