  So I have what has been identified as a 1/4 tara from Vijayanagar, (ca) 1550. It weights 0.07 grams, and looks to me to be very close to 4 millimeters. @pepactonius, you decide if it over 4 mm and decide whether I get 4 or 5 points. It is silver, rather dark, and there isn't much of a design. I was afraid to take it out of the 2x2 for fear of dropping it and losing it forever. It is definitely the smallest and lightest coin that I own. Edited by oriole

That coin looks to be about 16mm to 17mm along the longest diagonal?

Nice Vijayanagar piece, @Oriole! I've never seen a straight answer on how their silver denominations worked; I have this one (just a hair bigger than the fanam) that also weighs .08g, but is 5x6mm and identified as a full tara. It depicts a "deer" with a dagger above, and is uniface. Identified as Devaraya I 1406-1422.  |

Previously uploaded to this Topic. The appropriate coin for this challenge would be the 1938 Netherlands 10 cent diameter 15 mm. For 15 points.   |

@Finn235, the Indian guy I got it from called it a tara, but when I did some research, I noted on the 2x2 that it was a 1/4 tara. I would have to dig up my notes if I can find them, but I don't claim any authority.

Ok sweet. My second win in this game!
I'll post more details tomorrow, but I want to give y'all a heads up about my plans. The provenance of my coins is a concept that has become more important to me. I'll come up with a points scheme soon, but start thinking about coins that you have with the longest and most complete provenance.
