That's a 2 pointer, right?

Nope. Ultra Palmolive isn't included.

@bungle

What is the center coin you pictured? I should know but, don't. It's close enough to being octagonal to count for 2 points.

@AgCoinAu

I have yet to find a version in French but, I found an English version of your token listed on ebay:

The center coin is a Sri Lankan 2 cents. It is a rounded octagon. I classify these as octagonal.

If you say so
If you rotate them a bit, they do look like an octagon with 8 points and edges.
Like this Pakistani 2 paisa
Yet-Another-Forum-Game---Numismatic-Go-Fish!
But my eye sees 16 inflection points/edges

I'd call that one scalloped, not octagonal.

Time's up!

We had some very nice 1 and 2-pointers.
No 3-pointers...

And one 4-pointer!

I declare AgCoinAu the winner and thus, has the privilege of posting the next challenge coin!

Decided to give paper money a bit more love...

1954 - Canada note (modified) s/n 9999999

Yet-Another-Forum-Game---Numismatic-Go-Fish!

Not really sure about how points should go but here's my best guess.. if someone has a better idea please share

2 points for exact date
1 point for +/- 3 years
1 point for same country
4 points for another solid 9's note
3 points for another solid note of any numeral
2 points for a special serial number
(Radar, swims or ladder only)
1 point for the closest one to a solid 9 note

Excellent choice! I only say that because I don't have a perfect match and, I guess, no one else does.

I know I have a 1-pointer, maybe 2, 3 or 4.

Truth be told, I check U.S. notes that cross my hands for serials but, not the world notes I have. I really doubt I have anything special in that area, though.

What's a "swim"?

Edit: Will this challenge last for three days?

A swims note is also known as a rotator.. meaning if you turn the note upside down the serial number will read exactly the same...

eg: 0608090 Just to be specific I personally don't consider the 1 digit for rotators...as they don't look the same upside down.

I think the rules stated that this has to last 3 days... but we can shorten the time frame if there's just no responses and move on I suppose...

Okay, thanks for the clarification. I'm familiar with the idea, I just have never seen "swims" before.

It should last at least three days. This topic is slowly gaining strength.
