The history behind these pieces is that when Victoria was crowned as Queen, she was unable to fulfil the role of King of Hanover under Salic Law, due to the fact that she was a female. Her unpopular Uncle (Ernest Augustus, the Duke of Cumberland) who was the oldest male heir to the throne was sent off to Hanover instead to fulfil the role, and the counters/tokens were produced to commemorate (celebrate) his departure. Ok my bad folks--sorry for slowing down this thread.  I've been thinking a little about some of my tokens and exonumia lately http://goccf.com/t/301479) and so here is a Chuck E. Cheese token dated 2006. Would you believe that I actually put together a date series of these things a few years back?  Here is my scoring matrix: 1 point for any arcade token 1 extra point if it has an image of a mouse or rat on it 1 extra point if it has the date 2006, but 0.5 points extra if it is dated between 2000 and 2010 (obviously not counting 2006) 1 extra point if it comes from a place where you can buy watered down beer and re-heated frozen pizza Highest score should be 4 points. Wow @joseph7420, you've got it exactly--4 points! Clearly I misjudged you folks as I thought that this would be much more challenging. I'll keep this open for the weekend so that others to post theirs as well, but then I'm thinking that you are up next starting Monday am.
Here is the list of dates that I have: 1982, 1983, 1985, 1987, 1988, 1990, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006. It is kinda interesting to watch their design change over the years.

Ohh SNAKES ON A PLANE!! I check at this once and there's no challenge posted... come back and it's a chuck E cheese token and already a few submissions! I know I have a few of these kicking around somewhere but have NO clue where they would be at the moment. I'm going to start digging even though it looks like this one is already in the bag! Interesting idea!  I have some game tokens somewhere. Hopefully I can dig them out before the round is over. |
