I meant 1869, that must have been a typo...

I thought the denominations were going up in increments based on the pattern I saw. Not to worry jbuck, this is a good idea in my book!
I can see what else I can find...

I located some coins in my collection with the same date, but we have to move a bit further into the future for that.

I agree. I enjoy challenges where you have to post two coins that are somehow related but I think they tend to have less participation.

I will call it a bust and move on.

mrwhatisit is the final (legitimate) poster. Next round is yours. I set the bar pretty low for you.

Sorry for the longer wait, thanksgiving and work today...

Here is my idea:

Post a coin with the smallest, hardest to see 4-numbered date on it. That is it, simple... Size/composition of the coin are not factors again.
Guatemala 1880 1/2 Real:

And a Panama Pill 1904 2-1/2 cents:

I know there are many great examples of dinky dated coins out there, the smallest one wins! You can post more than one coin if you think you find a better example.

Since this is my round, Dorado and Princetane can both play if they want to...

I can go with this for a few days...

Go fish option is still open...

Does this include micro writing, like on the reverse of the new U.K. one pound.

Spanish coins have infamously tiny dates IIRC. Unfortunately I don't have any pics.

This seems to be the dinkiest legible date from my CCF pic collection...

USA 5 cents 1867, no rays. (I have one with rays too but the date on it is illegible.)

Eight digits, not four and not small, but difficult to see.
