There are spectacular views, decent hiking, and the opportunity to add to your copper stack. Added: This red tailed hawk design was one of four that were available in machine at the visitor center. I was at a museum with my daughter on a field trip. I asked if they sold tokens. They said no, but we have one of those elongated penny machines. I thought, great. Found the machine, it says"if you don't have a penny, no problem, we provide one". I crank the handle, out pops the elongated token. But not on a cent, just a piece of metal. Glad you guys popped in! 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition Covered Wagon to Airplane Medal 1849 to 1939 I believe that is the China Clipper aircraft on there. A modern plane at the time in 1939. This is an unofficial medal not seen terribly often in this good condition without being holed as it was about half the time. I posted this new ticket purchase the other day here. http://goccf.com/t/330506&whichpage=6#2941165 I had a sneaky suspicion there might be two in the lot because I looked over the listing picture closely. Sure enough, I have ticket K 18402 and L 18402 now. I got them both for the price of one, well, actually, I think I got both for a lot less than the price of one. See the listing image and there is a second one in there behind the top one. Here's both safe at home with me. So it left me in a hurry to pair up the ticket with a nice medal. TNG Bedrock of the Community United States 10284 Posts	Posted 03/31/2019 9:35 pm Thanks Guys, I lack the 1936 Texas Centennial Exposition ticket and medal, The 1898 Trans Misssissippi Exposition ticket, the 1897 Tennessee Centennial Exposition medal and ticket. ( They are tough ), The 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition or St Louis World's Fair ticket, an 1909 Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition ticket, perhaps a 1909 Hudson Fulton Celebration ticket of some kind and 1905 Lewis & Clark Exposition ticket and I think a 1939 New York World's Fair medal which is no big problem. I am maybe waiting on a good unusual one for that. I may never find some of those, that is OK, if not some post cards or other ephemera may have to do. TNG Bedrock of the Community United States 10284 Posts	Posted 04/02/2019 2:11 pm Here's a follow-up on a previous post http://goccf.com/t/301479&whichpage=118#2943332 about two medals I had soaked in acetone for less than 24 hours and gently swept off the unwanted residue with a Q-tip in the bath. Before and After 1898 Trans-Mississippi Exposition Medal The gilt was not removed, however, it appears so in the way my camera turned out the pictures. For example, here is another image of the 1898 obverse AFTER this conservation. Here is the 1909 Hudson Fulton Celebration Medalet Before and After image. It looks a little "wet" here in the AFTER image but it does not appear in hand like that. There would be a Stick Pin that looks like this, with what is probably Hudsons "Half Moon"ship.
