WWII "The Defence Medal" -- A service medal with a non-silver British issue and a 8000 Silver Canadian issue. This is a Canadian. I guess a ribbon had been attached.

Silver medal designed by Dora de Pedery-Hunt from the Metro Toronto Zoo's opening in 1974. It came in a blue felt case and is individually numbered on the side. Much more scarce than the bronze version.
