...Hope this fixes my mistake ...

Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Bolivia ...
this "bit" started as a 1 real, struck at the Potosi, Bolivia Spanish colonia lmint, traveled to China, where it was cut down, cut with test marks, & has many tiny chop marks from Chinese merchants, as well as at least 1 chop mark from Indonesia (larger chop) ... it was also holed, to wear for safekeeping. The tiny hole would have only accommodated wire (most likely), a secure way to safely transport silver coins (as a necklace) ...the use of wire, rather than string, indicates most probably worn by a Northern European sailor or merchant...

...the coin is only about 1/3 of it's original weight (originally 3.3g) ... but there is enough detail left to identify it's origin & era ("1" / denomination visible, "Y" / Potosi assayer Diego de Ybarbouru, who served off & on between 1701 & 1727 & a partial, upper part of the mint mark "P" (Potosi) ...

this bit of silver has traveled...

It was an implied rule, because who wants to see someone post their exact same coin over and over again?

It is okay to post a coin someone else has posted, but what is the point of you using the same coin over and over? Been there, done that.

But you know what, I do not care. Post whatever you want. I will no longer police this topic.

Oh, Keith!

To be clear: I will still do my job as moderator!

I will no longer confirm or enforce any of the OP requirements. It will be up to the posters to determine what is a legal move.

But, drop the F-bomb or post something political, and the ban-hammer awaits!

We don't want you to stop bossing us around Policing the topics - we do appreciate your efforts here VERY much jbuck.

Mrwhiskers had emailed me about a possible solution to this.

How about when a coin is played by somebody, THAT particular coin would be placed on a 3 month moratorium for that player and cannot be re-played until that 3 month 'waiting period' has passed. With all the pages we go through in a few days, I think it can be acceptable play procedure.

And any player can call out another for playing a coin too soon - and the play would revert to the last country played (just like going back to a country that was just immediately played)

What say you jbuck (and others)?

Fair enough. I try to use a new coin for every move but sometimes I forget.
