Princetane Pillar of the Community 4628 Posts	Posted 07/27/2020 8:18 pm To be honest, I just chose a random Caribbean Island to get from Brazil and knew some of the smaller places used East Caribbean coins but not Barbados or the Bahamas which has its own coins. And that is where we are off to - the Bahamas as I can avoid all the Antillies, travelling across open sea to get there! Bahamas 5 cents 1998 - reminds me of the song, Bahama, Bahama Mama, got the biggest house in town Bahama Mama. Report this Post to the Staff

Princetane Pillar of the Community 4628 Posts	Posted 07/28/2020 05:06 am USA (Lovely American Gold there!) to Cuba Yes a recent "junque" lot I inherited had a Cuban Peso convertible (CUC) coin in it and 2 x 20 CUC notes. These coins are for use by tourists and are different to the standard pesos (CUP) used by local Cubans (Which have values in Roman Numerals). These coins show tourism sites. They are tied at one peso per US Dollar, but really their value is like Disney Dollars, worth that in Cuba, but very little outside Cuba.
