Tryin' to get us back to Africa as I think that we still have some unrepresented countries there. Bolivia to Brazil:

Ok from Brazil to the West African States. In 1978 (the year this coin was minted), wikipedia states that the following countries were members of this economic community: Benin Burkina Faso Cape Verde Gambia Ghana Guinea-Bissau Liberia Mali Nigeria Senegal Sierra Leone Togo Guinea Niger Ivory Coast I'm not sure how to handle the list of countries now--do we only include West African States or each of the members too? Also, I'm not sure how to handle the next post--perhaps someone could post from a county that borders any of these (but not including one of these member states)?

Well, the states of Western Africa is a little longer of a list than those apart of Western Africa BCEAO. And that is the abbreviation for the Central Bank of the Western African States (well, the abbreviation for the French version of that). That being said, the countries that use that currency include: Benin Burkina Faso Côte d'Ivoire Guinea-Bissau Mali Niger Senegal Togo Now, this same situation happened twice before. When a coin from the Soviet Union was posted, the person said it would count as Kazakhstan, so the next coin posted would have been some coin bordering that country. The next time it happened was with the Western Africa, which the person said would count as Côte d'Ivoire. So, if you want to do something similar to that, you always could. Or we could just count the entire area.

Ok good to know. It sounds like I get to choose which of the countries that I'd like to be represented by this coin. In that case, I pick Burkina Faso.

Hm... there is some slight confusion on my part now. Since Burkina Faso is completely surrounded by other countries, and there is no way to go straight there from Brazil, would going there be allowed? The same situation would also go for Mali and Niger; though both are part of West Africa (BCAEO), neither have a direct path to Brazil.
