After that kind of find you have to keep the Ford emblem. Put it in a shadow box or something with a picture of the excavation. That is just great. (GRIN)
Happy Hunting,

PS It's great, but I don't want to find one. (GRIN)

Heck, I found TWO cars!

Couldn't resist ... Sorry about the quality; it's just a quick shot with my little digital camera. I really wanted to show you what less than ten years in the ground does to zinc cents, just in case anyone thinks that these aberrations will last longer than a presidential candidate's promises. I dug these out of the ground last and the previous summer from my rental lot next door. Note that the three zincs in the center are badly corroded; the one on the right is a '92. The top left cent is a '44-D and probably has been in the ground for 30-40 years, as I found it close to the sidewalk. The Rosie and nearly all of the cents (the top center is a '79-D) were within 10 yards of the house, and based on the dates (mostly after '92) I suspect that one or the other of the under-5-year-old kiddies who once lived there went "Wheeee!" with a handful of coins. I've found about four dozen cents and two dimes and various other objects, including a flatware knife, an eight-foot dog chain, these two little cars, and an assortment of junk. Unfortunately, the only persons who lived in my own house before me were adults, so all I can seem to dig up from my lot are roofing nails - in fact, the first reason I dragged my White's 4HDX out (after snagging it for $20 at a yard sale) was to find the nails in my driveway and garden plot, both next to the house. Found over a hundred of them ...
