I continue to play around with new ways to make especially interesting elongateds. I pressed both of these today. In the first instance, once again for that Geronimo motif I've utilized a cent from the year of his death, 1909. This time, the host coin was darkly stained/encrusted. So what I did was attach a bronze brush to my trusty Dremel® and vigorously work the central device on the obverse. I'm quite pleased with the resulting contrast - sort of an "enhanced" elongated, if you will.   The other I'm showing here was made from a 1954-S wheatie that appeared to have been gold washed. This also turned out very nice in my opinion.  Colligo ergo sum

 The host coin in this instance can just barely be made out to be a 1916-S. This was undoubtedly the most infamous, controversial, and risque exhibit at the "Century of Progress" exposition. Here's what may be the most common motif for "Century of Progress" fair elongateds, a depiction of the Sky Ride. There are numerous variations on this theme. This particular specimen is a bit unusual for being rolled with a die that was borderless. The host coin can only be identified so far as being a 192X-S. I rather liked this one for its "art deco" flavor.  The host coin is a can only barely be discerned to be a Lincoln Cent. Colligo ergo sum

A replica of Fort Dearborn was constructed for the "Century of Progress" exposition. There're several variations of this elongated, but I think this version exhibits the highest relief and most detail, as well as getting the visual perspective right.  The host coin is a 1913 cent. As with many other older elongateds, there are several variations of this design. This version is deemed to exhibit the most detail.  The host coin in this instance is a 1927-S. Colligo ergo sum
