Mr Pink - glad you are still making some good finds! I have recovered sufficiently to be able to walk to my local shop and back, and found my first 'wild' coin for more than two months this morning. It was a 1996 UK penny in pretty good shape for a 29-year-old coin, with a bit of road rash on the obverse especially under Her Majesty's ear. It must have been practically uncirculated when dropped. I never remember finding pennies from the 1940s in as good condition as this when I started collecting shortly before Decimalization!

I found $3.50 at one of my favorite rows of vending machines this afternoon, which contributed to today being my first $4 day since October 21!

Quote: I found $3.50 at one of my favorite rows of vending machines this afternoon, which contributed to today being my first $4 day since October 21! way to go, DiscoLover82! I'm glad someone's finding money lately, it sure hasn't been me! keep on pickin'! speaking of 'picking', I picked up a new gig 3 weeks ago (another patio garden) and another new gig last week (guesthouse maintenance; I have prior experience), both gigs fit in nicely with my other gigs, so it's almost like I have a full time job now. cash flow is much more consistent lately, which is a great thing and sorely needed, but because of that I've had to cut back on my nightly searches a bit more (but the cats all get fed every night). I haven't gone anywhere, just a lot busier of late. chronic lack of funds has kept all of my hobby-related activities on the back burner, which has caused a prolonged crabbiness that is only just now slowly lifting. I see some light at the end of the tunnel, maybe soon I can start chipping away at unfinished projects, most especially my 7070.
